The results are in for the first survey of ECDA membership and supporters.
70% of the responses came from people who attended the January meeting and 30% were from those who were unable to attend. Most of those who couldn’t attend had work conflicts.
In total, we had 19 responses.
People preferred the new location 53% to 47%. This is similar to the vote that was taken at the meeting.
People preferred Tuesday over Thursday by a similar margin which is also in line with the vote taken at the meeting. Almost half of the comments were to avoid conflicts with any of the other Democratic organizations that meet in the area.
When asked about issues, local issues was the overwhelming topic. We want to be educated on the local issues. Second place was on what we can do to Get Out The Vote. Tied for third were a) candidate recruitment, b) spreading progressive messages, c) national issues, and d) corruption.
We will try to recruit speakers on the topics that interest us the most. If anyone has any suggestions, please let someone on the Board know.
Thanks,
ECDA Board
